The 49-year-old artist, Pascale Sellick from Devon, has given an open invitation to her wedding that will be held on February 10, 2019 at Rougemont Gardens in Exeter, Devon. It is going to be a lavish wedding that anyone can be part of and celebrate in Pascale’s happiness.

The groom – her duvet.

The artist has announced that she plans to wed her duvet and would love for people to join in this joy of hers as she gets married to her “comforting companion”.

It is very evident that she ‘loves’ her bed!

The wedding ceremony will be followed by an extravagant free wedding party at The Glorious Art House in Fore Street. Instead of wearing a traditional wedding gown, Pascale is going for the ultimate bedtime wear, and all guests are encouraged to follow the dress code of jammies, dressing gowns, slippers, and maybe bring teddy bears and hot water bottles if it gets cold. There will be a live band playing and lots and lots of wedding cake.

“I love my duvet so much I would like to invite people to witness my union with the most constant, comforting companion in my life.”

“My duvet is the longest, strongest, most intimate and reliable relationship that I have ever had. That’s because it has always been there for me and gives me great hugs.”

“There will be music and a ceremony, laughs and entertainment”, Pascale shared.

Pascale also revealed that she plans to enjoy a two-week honeymoon with her duvet at Ikea in the bedroom department.

Hmm. Not so sure how to feel about that.

She has even hired a wedding planner, Anna FitzGerald from WooHoo Art Events, for her wedding ceremony who said, “This is the most out there art happening to date. I’m really pleased to be involved. Valentine’s day can be depressing for lots of people so hopefully, this will lift peoples’ spirits. “It would be wonderful if folks could shake off their English reserve and rock up in their sleepwear for a bit of light-hearted frivolity.”

Well, we don’t know what her beloved duvet is going to wear for the occasion. It is a surprise.
