Folks, say hello to the KFC 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog! In case you’re wondering what it is, rest assured, it is going to boggle you. KFC is coming out with a fireplace log, which when lit, smells like the classic Kentucky Fried Chicken. Told you it would boggle you.
Now you can enjoy a cold winter’s evening, warmed up in your couch with your fireplace all lit up and spreading the aroma of the famous KFC!
The KFC website says that the log is “imbued with the unmistakable, mouth-watering aroma of Colonel Sanders’ secret recipe” and “finally puts to rest the age-old dilemma, ‘How can I make this fire a hundred bajillion times better?’”
The log is made purely out of recycled products and is made by Enviro-Log. Each log will burn for about two to three hours, spreading the enchanting scent of fried chicken. The log can also be stored if you do not wish to use it in your fireplace right away as it does not have a precise shelf life. But make sure to keep it in a dry area and away from your pets.
The log costs $18.99 and this price includes the shipping costs as well. The ordered log will be delivered by UPS and can be expected within five business days of the day you place your order.
“At KFC, we have always been proud of our role in bringing loved ones together at the dinner table around a bucket of our world-famous fried chicken,” Andrea Zahumensky, KFC U.S. chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “Now, this winter we’re bringing all the things we love – family, friends and fried chicken – together around the fire with our scented firelog.”
Well, KFC has warned customers not to “put face directly into fire in attempt to smell fried chicken” because apparently that’s how strong the scent will be! KFC also warns customers that the log with the heavenly smell of fried chicken “may attract bears or neighbors who are hungry,” and “may result in a craving for fried chicken.”
Jack Hinchliffe, innovation director at KFC UK & Ireland told the Sun: “We don’t change things on a whim – the Colonel’s Original Recipe chicken hasn’t changed since he finalised it in 1940. This was different though. We heard the nation’s outcry. We read the brutal tweets. We had to step up our fries’ game. Thicker, chunkier, tastier. Job done.”
