8. Don’t use the dishwasher to dry dishes
Air dry your washed dishes instead of using the heat dry cycle of your dish washer. Just open the door of the dish washer slightly and let the dishes dry naturally. This will definitely reduce electricity bills drastically.
9. Upgrade your appliances
If you take stock of your electric appliances at home and feel that most of them are outdated, then it is best to get rid of them as they are the ones which consume the most energy. Replace them with Energy Star certified appliances.
10. Get rid of your old dryers
Purchase newer models which are energy saving because old dryers consume more energy than you realise.
