Monomi Ohno is a Japanese cardboard artist, yes, you heard it right a cardboard artist who is making amazing things just by using cardboards.
She attended Osaka University of Art where she studied 3-D designs. She had a lot of ideas in her mind that she wanted to create but the 3D software that she wanted to buy was very expensive. So while saving some money to buy the software to make the things she wanted, she tried her hands on the old Amazon boxes.
And after sometime she because so good at creating designs out of the cardboard boxes that now she doesn’t need a 3D software to make such 3D design.
Check out her collection and you will notice that they are made with such exquisite details that it is as if they are made using some technology. If you see the gun in her hand, you would notice that she has taken care of the details that need to be captured from the real object.
This Sculpture reminds me of Mad Max movie vehicle.
If you look closely, you would notice that she has made the engine at the backside with so much perfection and even the tires are looking so realistic.
