This is why you need to be able to teach your dog that they have an allocated spot when you take them to work. This could be a rug or a dog home that your dog uses at home, which can be easily carried to work. You need to practice with your dog at home, teaching them to sit and wait in the “good place”, even when they see you walking away. - Teach them how to socialize

Getting your dog used to new people and new environments will be very helpful as they will accept these elements in a safe and non-threatening way.
