Who is Emily, The name stands for “EMergency Integrated Lifesaving LanYard”. Emily is a robot which can pull a rescue ranging to 2,400 feet in water and can carry up to five people.  This 4-ft long remote controlled buoy can cruise through rip-currents and swift water at speeds up to 22 mph to reach distressed swimmers faster than human lifeguards.

The Company claims that EMILY can be helpful in supporting swift water rescue teams in flash flood incidents. EMILY’s batteries last about 20 minutes but they can be replaced easily, allowing more trips to sea. This robot sound interesting and can save many lives at sea.
