As mentioned in one of our previous posts, we bring to you the Forbes List of Highest Paid Actresses in Hollywood for the year 2015. This is based on money earned from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015 before subtracting management fees and taxes; figures are based on data from Nielsen, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with agents, managers and lawyers conducted by the Forbes team. So here are the highest paid actresses in Hollywood in 2015:
1. Jennifer Lawrence
The Hunger Games Trilogy actress has replaced Sandra Bullock who was No. 1 on the list of 2014. Jennifer Lawrence is the highest paid actress in Hollywood in 2015 with $52 million.
2. Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson has transitioned into action movies with movies like Lucy, the Marvel series like the Avengers, Iron Man etc and is now the second highest paid actress in Hollywood with $ 35.5 million. She has moved up considerably from No. 7 in 2014 to No. 2 in 2015.
3. Melissa McCarthy
Melissa McCarthy from Spies and Bridesmaids is at No.3 with $23 million.
4. Jennifer Aniston
Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston is at No. 4 with $16.5 million. She has slipped to the No. 4 position in 2015 as compared to No. 3 in 2014.
5. Julia Roberts
The Pretty Woman star still manages to earn $16 million in a year which makes her No. 5 in this list. Julia Roberts replaces Angelina Jolie who held on to the No. 5 position in 2014.
6. Angelina Jolie
This Oscar winning beauty stands at No. 6 with $15 million. As mentioned above, she has slipped down one place to No. 6.
7. Reese Witherspoon
The Legally Blonde star is No. 7 with $15 million. She replaces Scarlett who was No. 7 earlier in 2014 and who has now moved up to No. 2 in 2015.
8. Anne Hathaway
The girl from The Devil Wears Prada is enjoying her success and is currently No. 8 earning $12 million a year.
9. Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart of the Twilight series is also doing pretty well at $12 million annually.
10. Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz known for her roles in romantic comedies stands tall at No. 10 with $11 million.
