3 Exercises To Build Your Butt – Sexy and Healthy

Now, who does not like a nice rounded, perfectly shaped butt? I know I do! And it does not have to be a bad thing. There is nothing wrong in desiring to build a nice-looking booty.

But it not just for the visual appeal. It is so much more. Working on your butt definitely makes it look more appealing, but it also helps in maintaining proper posture and help with body fitness! Those glute muscles are really all-rounders (pun intended)!

It is very important to strengthen those glutes because without these muscles, it would be impossible to walk or stand even. The glute muscles are the body’s largest and strongest muscles. With the lifestyle we have nowadays, it has become a challenge to build strong glutes as we sit in front of a desk most of the day and when we are home, we don’t really get any exercise and are probably watching television or playing games online.

Training our glute muscles is essential to have generate good posture and fitness and minimize back problems.

There are three glute exercises that are the best when it comes to strengthening that butt. These exercises work on ALL the muscles in the area and can give you really good results.

  1. Hip thrusts

This exercise is also known as bridges and is quite simple. You need to lay flat on the ground with your arms by your side, bent knees and feet kept together. Push yourself upward with the help of your heels as you move your hips upward. Repeat this action and keep your core and glute muscles tight throughout.

 

  1. Curtsy lunges

Stand up, with your feet apart at shoulder width. Keep your back straight and take your left leg behind your right leg, and towards the outside. Go down towards the ground, till your right leg is almost parallel with the floor and then come back up. Do the same with the other leg. Repeat 5 times for each leg. If you want to make it a little more effective, you can hold a dumbbell.

 

  1. Lateral banded walks

Place a resistance band around your legs (right above your knees) and push your butt backwards and bend your knees, just like how you would do a squat. Now, with your back being straight and core tight, move your right foot towards the right and move your left foot towards it too. Now repeat this with the other leg. The whole idea is to push your legs through your hips.
