In addition to hand gestures, Spark also includes intelligent flight options with pre-programmed flight paths and subject tracking. While it moves around in the skies, the “3D Sensing System” of the drone keeps it from running into obstacles in front of it; and it can fly up to 31 mph (50 kph).
More complex maneuvers, like automated flight path etc have to be controlled by your smart phone and/or the Spark remote controller but if you’re using its most basic functions, then the drone can be controlled “by hand gestures alone”
Spark can capture your pictures with 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor capable of 12MP photos and 1080p video, attached to a 2-axis gimbal. And all of these features are packed into a drone that is just 10.6 ounces (300 grams) light, less than a can of soft drink.
