Born as Lee Alexander McQueen, he is known for having worked as chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001 and for founding his own Alexander McQueen label. There are only 21 pairs in existence and even Lady Gaga wore a pair of them in her famous video “Bad Romance” and went on to buy three pairs of the “armadillo shoes” at an auction. And of course she’s one of the very few women who can walk in them.
