We are always confused about which phones to buy, every time there is a new phone in the market and we are tempted to buy a new one. Most people buy a new phone because their old phone becomes outdated or new one has a very tempting specification. But what if you can make your old phone have the features of a new phone? Wouldn’t that be so exciting? Modular means that you can switch between the part of the phone with a new one which is available i.e. instead of buying a whole new phone, you just buy a particular part which you want.
Modularity in phone is a great breakthrough technology because by being able to swap your phone part you can customise your phone according to your needs rather than buying a standard package made by a company.
Google project Ara is coming your way this 2016. Though it is a developer edition but still this will become a reality. For consumers, you have to wait for a while to get hands on this one, maybe in 2017. The phone will have six flexible slots for easy swapping for upgrades and style. The real specifications are not out yet.
